At the end of June, Johnny and Dave went to a small town at the base of the Pyrenees mountains in northern Spain to screen One Hit From Home at a Youth Camp called L'Arcada.
Just under 2 hours outside of Barcelona near a small town called Banyoles, the message of One Hit From Home was able to impact 40 spanish kids - even without subtitles, the kids stay engaged the whole time!
The showing went great a we would like to thank the camp for embracing the message of the film and seeing the impact it could have on the kids! Being there and getting to share our tetimonies with the kids using a translator was a very unique and awesome experience! It is always so gratifying and humbling when we can impact others with our film. In this case it was on the other side of the world!

I just came across this really sad article (it is posted below) where a kid was killed while attending a party that was suppose to mimick that party thrown in that movie "Project X." I think this is a great example of how movie inspires culture.....in the wrong way of of course. We have filmmakers have a responsibilty for the content we produce and movies like this are a great example of what can happen when glorify the wrong stuff on screen. Heck, when I was younger I remember that nearly everything I wanted to be when I grew up was derived from a movie.....a fighter pilot (Top Gun).....a tough guy football player (The Program).....a CIA Operative (Spy games). Movies have the capabilities to inspire culture and we hope to see more and more content that inspires culture in the right way. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of the kid who passed.
